When they suffered from it, a man named Pete Kuiper helped them reconnect through a counseling intensive. The experience included daily one-hour lectures that integrated biblical truth with clinical understanding. The messages equipped them to combat disconnection. The Greshes left with a desire to make Pete’s life-changing content available to every marriage. This fall, they’re packing their bags for a refueling weekend in the beautiful Dominican Republic during which they’ll the tape Pete’s messages in front of a limited-capacity audience. You’re invited to be a part of it.
The best way to meet Pete Kuiper, our featured speaker, is to listen to Episode 1 of the Happily Even After podcast.
Every few years, we host the Pure Freedom Master Class for couples, individuals, counselors, and pastors who want to increase their capacity to experience God’s continued healing in their lives and their ability to provide biblical-rooted care when God calls them to minister.
This year, we decided to do something different. Our goal is to hang out with couples we can love on while we share some of the best teaching we’ve ever heard on healing and wholeness. So, we’re heading to the Caribbean for a once-in-a-lifetime experience with Pete Kuiper, our marriage counselor!
You’ll get phenomenal biblical teaching, organic networking with other couples and professionals, and understanding on sexual theology and healing. The only difference is: you’ll be able to hit the beach, spa, or golf course in between sessions!
Because this is part of our Pure Freedom Master Class series, you need to apply to attend. Why? We want to be sure that it’s a good fit for you and that you’re committed to the kind of community experience that awaits!

This year’s theme is “Living Happily Even After” and will feature the biblical teaching of Pete Kuiper, our marriage counselor. We believe every believer needs to hear his important work on how to navigate areas of brokenness in your heart and life. In addition, we’ll be doing a little bit of coaching on the topic of lust and pornography. The problem is epidemic and we need the Church girded up to walk individuals and couples through God’s redemption. The weekend will provide on-going healing and hope for your own life, but we hope it also equips you to minister to others.
It is important that each couple attending has walked through a good portion of their healing process before joining us in the Dominican Republic. That looks different for each couple, but there are a few things we recommend:
1. Counseling with a biblically-based, clinically informed therapist.
2. Accountability and support in both of your lives from close friends or family members.
3. Time to heal from any recent disclosures or trauma.
Yes, while many of the attendees will be couples, this weekend is also open to individuals who counsel others. The cost for individuals is the same as the cost for couples, as it is priced per room.
Think of it as an all-inclusive experience! We’ll provide lodging at one of the most respected resorts in the Caribbean, meals, certain activities at the resort, access to the beach, and of course, the Pure Freedom Master Class sessions. Flights and transportation to and from the resort are not included.
You’ll be equipped and inspired at six sessions of biblical teaching led by our team. We’ve built in time to network with other guests, nurture your marriage relationship, or spend time alone with God at Casa de Campo® Resort & Villas. We’ll provide credit to eat at many of the outstanding restaurants so you can spend time one-on-one or with a group of other people interested in fostering God’s redemption in the Church. And if you need something fun, the Equestrian Center featuring Polo, the Shooting Course, and three private pristine white sand beaches are at the ready. Experience the Pete Dye golf courses including Teeth of the Dog® , the #1 ranked course in the Caribbean.
We take time to read and pray about each application we receive. We also know that you’re likely eager to make your travel arrangements, so we will do our best to respond within two weeks. (Once new event dates are announced.)
Every time someone makes a donation to Pure Freedom, they’re fueling our Chica Verdadera/Pura Libertad team. Whether it’s to support True Girl, Born to Be Brave, or Pure Freedom a portion of what we raise is sent to our team in the Dominican Republic. We want to introduce you to Marlene, Irving, Sara, and Lisa. They’re doing such great work for the kingdom in all of Latin America and we want to share the heartbeat of the ministry and invite you to support the work they’re doing. While there is no pressure to do so, we hope you might be inspired to join us in our ministry work. Thought you should know about this in advance!
